interesting questions

http://jmm.aaa.net.au/articles/7222.htm
I found this website and it asks some pretty interesting questions...

  • Why don't you ever see the headline Psychic Wins Lottery?
  • Why is it considered necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?
  • If you take an Asian person and spin them around several times do they become disoriented?
  • What hair color do they put on the drivers licence of a bald man?
  • Why are there floatation devices in the seats of planes, not parachutes?
  • If they squeeze olives to get olive oil, how do they get baby oil?
  • Why is it that doctors call what they do practice?
  • Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed?

...it just makes you wonder.

School policies I think we need to change

I think there is a few rules we need to change in my school.
  1. I think hats should be allowed as long as they're not covering the face or causing a distraction.
  2. I think Ipods,CD players,MP3s etc. should be allowed in all classrooms when the teacher isn't talking, we're not taking a test, or we're no doing a group assignment. Music helps some people focus and concentrate harder. If the teacher isn't talking or we're not working on a group assignment I don't see why we shouldn't be able to listen to music.
  3. I think school should go from 8 am until 3 pm. Currently we end school at 3:50 pm. We could make the classes just a little shorter so we could end school earlier. To me 3:50 is an odd time to end school. The elementary ends school at 3:30 and by the time they get loaded up and get to the high school/middle school pick up area it is 3:50. The elementary could end school at 2:40- 2:45 and be able to pick up high school/middle school students by 3 pm.
  4. The middle school has the nice orange and black lockers while the high school gets the old, hard to close lockers. I think they should switch the lockers back.

  • In Michigan a man stole a ambulance from a hospital when nobody would give him a ride back to his car.He was transported to one hospital but his car was still at the other hospital.
  • A Brazilian man came home to celebrate a holiday in which you go to the cemetery to visit the dead. The family had been told he died in a car crash, but he showed up to his own funeral alive. They mistook the bodies when they were trying to identify them because he was badly disfigured.
  • A man is arrested for exiting a plane on takeoff. He claims he was trying to see if the planes safety system was working properly.

while the rich get richer, the poor get poorer

1 out of 3 Americans live below the poverty line. 1 out of 6 Americans are starving.
The richest one percent of America owns almost 40% of our entire wealth.

I think we should tax the rich. This would help raise some money for people in poverty.I think that if your annual income for your entire household is below a certain amount, you should be eligible for welfare.I know there that is how welfare kind of is now, but I think we should raise the minimum amount. That way more people could be eligible for welfare if they need it.I think this would help even out the poor and the rich a little more.

downloading music illegally...good or bad?

According to this site it says that people who download music illegally actually spend more money on music than non-downloaders. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1224460/Illegal-downloaders-spend-MORE-music-obey-law.html

I think that downloading music illegally is in some what good and bad. I think that each song is an artists own work. Illegally downloading their work is like stealing from them. Although at the same time there is the fact that people who download music illegally, actually spend more money on music than non-downloaders.

I'm not for or against downloading. I think it's kinda of like stealing but at the same time it's actually helping the music industry.
